100 days as CEO of SERV

Cristina Schulze-Bergmann talks about her first few months at SERV

Cristina Schulze-Bergmann has been at the helm of Swiss Export Risk Insurance SERV for about 100 days. In an interview, the CEO talks about her first impressions, the challenges facing the Swiss export industry and the strategic focus areas of SERV over the next few years.

Cristina Schulze-Bergmann took over the operational management of SERV in April 2026. In an interview, she summarises her time at the company so far and provides insights into her experiences as the new CEO.

One thing that has really impressed Cristina Schulze-Bergmann is the strong commitment among the employees, and how deeply they identify with the work of SERV. Support for the Swiss export industry and working with companies in international markets are deeply anchored in the corporate culture.

For the next few years, Cristina Schulze-Bergmann has defined three strategic focus areas: the development of the insurance and cover solutions, the stronger positioning of SERV with regard to strategically important international projects and the digital development of the organisation. Throughout all of this, one goal remains unchanged: to continue providing Swiss companies with reliable support for their international business activities.

Dialogue with customers and partners is also particularly important to her. Trust, proximity to customers and mutual understanding are also important prerequisites for developing successful solutions together in the future.
