Paris Club

The Paris Club is an international forum for negotiating debt rescheduling with over-indebted countries. Negotiations are conducted in the Paris Club if a debtor country is unable to meet its payment obligations.

The Paris Club consists of a group specifically chosen and formed to handle each case. It consists of representatives of the creditor countries, the rescheduling country, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, the UNCTAD and the OECD.
