Core capital (CCap)

Core capital (CCap) is an extended risk buffer used to achieve a higher level of security. It is calculated using a target cover ratio for risk-bearing capital (RBC) of 200 per cent. The difference between the target cover ratio and the RBC is the core capital. An additional amount is added to the core capital to cover operational risks.
