Our primary goal is to support Swiss export companies in promoting international competitiveness, growth and Swiss employment. We play an active role in this respect and are evolving from being an insurer of last resort to a trade facilitator. To help us achieve this goal, SERV’s organisational structure will change effective 1 January 2022 and its Executive Board will expand from three to four members. However, we are already taking a first step in this direction this year, which will result in the following change.

Lars Ponterlitschek will be taking over the insurance business effective 1 September 2021. Mr Ponterlitschek has been a member of SERV’s Executive Board since January 2017, serving in the role of CFO to date. He joined SERV in 2013 as a Client Advisor and Underwriting Manager and was later promoted to Deputy Head of Client Advisory. Prior to joining SERV, he held a range of positions at Euler Hermes in the field of export credit guarantees for Germany.

The existing Client Advisory team is available as usual to address any questions and concerns you might have and looks forward to working together with you in the future.

Also effective 1 September 2021, Heribert Knittlmayer will be setting up and heading the new ‘Operational Activities’ division as COO. Mr Knittlmayer has been with SERV for almost 15 years. He has served as Chief Insurance Officer since 2014, and also as Deputy CEO of SERV since 1 January 2017. He is committed to helping SERV improve through operational excellence.
