As the national export credit agencies for Germany, Austria and Switzerland respectively, Euler Hermes, Oesterreichische Kontrollbank (OeKB) and Swiss Export Risk Insurance (SERV) have a well-established track record in promoting foreign trade stretching back decades. They protect exporters and banks against foreign clients defaulting on their payments due to economic or political reasons, especially in difficult and high-risk markets. Particular focus is given to SMEs.
The three institutions are hosting a joint conference on the rail sector in the DACH region on 20 November 2019 in Munich. The aim is to anchor insurance and financing options for the rail sector more firmly among companies. In addition to presentations and discussions on export credit insurance, market developments and existing challenges, attendees will have the opportunity to exchange views on current industry-specific issues.
The conference is being run by Euler Hermes, OeKB and SERV in cooperation with the German Railway Industry Association (VDB) and the SWISSRAIL Industry Association. Please don’t forget to pencil in 20 November 2019. Further information and the programme will follow in September.
