			<description>SERV hosted the 15th Meeting of the Environmental Practitioners of the OECD Export Credit Group held from 8 to 10 February 2010. Some 50 environmental and social specialists from export credit insurers in the OECD area and from Brazil, Slovenia and China took part. The OECD Export Credit Group is tasked with reviewing the “Recommendation on Common Approaches on the Environment and Officially Supported Export Credits” by the end of 2010. This guideline serves as a foundation for the environmental review of export credit insurance transactions – and also applies to SERV. 			<description>India’s cleantech industry offers interesting business opportunities. In order to introduce these opportunities to Swiss companies, Osec, in cooperation with the export platform SwissCleantech, organises a fact-finding tour in India from 6 to 13 March 2010. By visiting organisations and companies as well as the trade fair „Renewtech 2010“, the participants become acquainted with the Indian cleantech industry. They get the opportunity to establish a valuable network and evaluate their market potential.
The journey is aimed at companies in the sectors of renewable energies, energy efficiency, modern technologies for vehicle manufacturing, as well as architecture and construction. 			<description>On 10 November 2009, the School for International Business holds the second Customs Symposium Switzerland-EU on current customs projects and their effects on Swiss companies in the export business. The symposium focuses on specific experiences with AEO (authorised economic operator), E-dec and other customs related topics. Speakers include officers from the Directorate General of Customs as well as other experts from Switzerland and abroad. The symposium takes place in Dübendorf.

			<description>The Board of Directors of Swiss Export Risk Insurance SERV has selected Herbert K. Wight, presently Head of Business Underwriting Office, as its new director. Herbert Wight has many years of experience in the area of export financing and occupied leading positions in this sector at various Swiss banks. He joined SERV at the beginning of 2008.
Herbert Wight will replace Dr. Christoph Sievers as of 1 December 2009. Dr. Sievers led the transition of the former ERG to SERV with prudence and great commitment. This transition is now complete. SERV is solidly structured and has a competitive product range which has been supplemented and strengthened within the context of the Swiss Confederation’s stabilisation measures and allows SERV to support Swiss exporters in a targeted manner.
