Business transactions

SERV executes all business transactions directly. Depending on the delivery value and complexity, however, insurance applications may need to be approved by the Insurance Committee or Board of Directors. To approve such transactions, the Insurance Committee convenes once every three weeks and the Board of Directors once every two months. In extraordinary cases, the Board of Directors can also issue written decisions at short notice. The federal council can issue directives to SERV concerning insurances for especially significant businesses.

Documents to be submitted by the insured party

For exporters as well as banks and financial institutes, SERV, in each case, provides an application form serving as a request for the basic insurance commitment as well as the insurance policy. The application form for exporters is valid for all products offered by SERV.
