New premium calculator now online
A new premium calculator is now available at the SERV website. This tool enables our customers to calculate the premiums for the insurance of their exports under the new terms even before the new premium tariff enters into force on 1 September 2011.
The new premium calculator has an improved layout and features new, user-friendly functions. For example, you can now assign a letter rating to private buyers and guarantors and easily compare the premiums for various cover ratios or for transactions with or without collateral.
The first version of the new premium calculator, which has now been activated, is available in English and German. The full version with further functions and French as an additional language will be available by 1 September 2011 at the latest.
Information on the new premium tariff is available here. You can try out the new premium calculator on our website. The old premium calculator will remain available until 1 September 2011.
Transitory regulation for the new premium tariff
The current premium tariff will continue to apply for transactions for which insurance applications (for an insurance policy or for a commitment in principle) are submitted before 1 September 2011.
If an application is submitted or an existing commitment in principle extended after 1 September 2011, the new premium tariff will apply in accordance with OECD regulations.
