Export risk insurance granted for Turkey's Ilisu hydro-electric power plant
On March 28, 2007 the Federal Council gave its final approval of export risk guarantee insurance to Alstom, Colenco, Maggia and Stucky for products and engineering services for Turkey's Ilisu hydro-electric power plant, valued at some 225 million Swiss francs. The plant owners had met the conditions set at the time of approval in principle of December 2006, and to be fulfilled prior to final coverage approval. A committee of experts verifies continued compliance therewith. Austria and Germany have granted insurance to their exporters as well.
