SERV reports successful Financial Year 2008
The Federal Council today approved our 2008 Annual Report. In 2008 SERV recorded new policy volume of CHF 2.4 billion on business transacted in 58 countries. The private buyer risk insurance business was especially brisk in the year under review, with double the number of policies taken out compared to 2007. The net income of CHF 95.2 m posted for 2008 serves to further strengthen our capital base and risk-bearing capacity, allowing us to better serve exporters in today's adverse economic environment.
