As yet another fascinating, if intensive and demanding year draws to a close, ERG comes to an end, to reemerge as SERV, Swiss Export Risk Insurance, in 2007.

As yet another fascinating, if intensive and demanding year draws to a close, ERG comes to an end, to reemerge as SERV, Swiss Export Risk Insurance, in 2007. This eminently sensible and well-considered move enjoys broad political support.

We asked Dr. Hans-Peter Bärtschi to record ERG's history from its inception in 1934 and write about the impending changeover. He came up with a concise and highly readable publication. We hope you'll find it illuminating. (Only in German ( PDF) and French ( PDF) available).

As SERV we look forward to continuing our mutually beneficial business relationships in the service of Switzerland's export industry. We are as committed as ever to job creation and preservation in Switzerland except, as the new and progressive SERV, we will also serve small and medium-size Swiss companies.
