Trade Finance Award
SERV won the "Deal of the Year 2007" award by Trade Finance Magazine for its cover of deliveries for a 220 MW gas and steam power plant in Skopje, Macedonia. The award was presented to SERV on June 19, 2008 in London.
Besides the Swiss suppliers, companies from Germany, Poland and Turkey were involved in this project. The new power plant will replace an existing thermal power plant and at the same time increase electricity capacity available for the region.
SERV was able to cover this transaction through its private buyer risk insurance, which was introduced in the beginning of 2007.
