Ilisu project: Dialogue between the export credit insurers and NGOs
On the initiative of the Austrian, German and Swiss state export credit agencies (ECAs), a dialogue between critics of the Ilisu project and representatives of the expert committees took place today.
With this event, the ECAs continue to uphold their policy of open and transparent information on the development of the Ilisu project. Internationally recognised experts reported on the latest developments in the project area.
Representatives of Austria, Germany and Switzerland have held talks in Ankara with the Turkish owners during the past three days. The Turkish side has restated its assurance that the agreements in connection with the environment, resettlement and cultural heritage will be upheld.
