Structure
The Federal Council
SERV operates under the Federal Council's oversight. That body also bears budgetary responsibility, establishes SERV's four-year strategic plans, periodically reviews plan adherence and sets our coverage ceiling.
The Board of Directors
The Federal Council appoints the nine members of our Board of Directors to four-year terms.
The Board appoints from among its members an Insurance Committee and a Finance and Organisation Committee to analyze certain areas in depth and to report to the Board to facilitate its supervisory and decision-making functions.
The Insurance Committee
The Insurance Committee determines risk and coverage practice for individual countries and authorizes coverage up to a specific cover amount.
The Finance and Organization Committee
The Finance and Organization Committee aids the Board in the oversight of accounting, in financial reporting, legal compliance, ensuring appropriate internal control structures, SERV's organizational structure and all matters of compliance.
