SERV offers its policyholders extensive support even before the occurrence of a loss.
To enable SERV to provide these services and the relevant insurance cover, the policyholder is required to inform SERV immediately of any circumstances leading to an increase in risk. Arrears or defaults that are imminent or have already occurred must also be notified without delay. The policyholder must do everything possible to prevent losses and actively take steps to minimise losses when an insured event has occurred.
In the case of a loss, a basic distinction has to be made between the imminent loss, loss and recovery stages.
It is also important to know whether the imminent loss or default is attributable to economic or political reasons, as these affect the nature and scope of the measures to be taken and also the effort and expense incurred by the policyholder to furnish proof.
